In the first 10 minutes of Robin Hood, We are shown the main character Robin Hood. We start off seeing him as a very stereotypical hero type character. Fighting for good and going out of his way to help people. HE is rescuing a friend in trouble. There is a low angle shot, or hero shot of the main character which helps to show you that he is good. However, he slightly flouts the hero type by saying that after the battle he would win his money which suggests that he could have some darker arrogant sides to his personality.
Robin Hood is also a historical movie as well as action-adventure. This is clearly illustrated by the mis en scene. Bows and arrows and swords are used rather than guns, and the costumes are medieval. There is a sense of spectacle in the first 10 minuets of the movie as there is a huge fight taking place.
You continue to show a clear grasp of the level of detail required, especially in the analysis of Robin himself. Start off by stating the genre (you do so lower down) so that you can tie in all your comments.Spellling: mise-en-scene.
