Skyfall mis en scene
In all James Bond films, James Bond wears a suit, this is to
represent Brtishness because British people have a reputation for being smart
and well dressed, James Bond is seen as
a stereotypical classy English man. It is also to represent the formality of
what he is doing. He works for the British intelligence, it is his job and the
suit is like his uniform. You are supposed to see James bond as a gentleman,
and the suit helps to show this. The woman who you see with James is wearing
tomboy army clothes, and this shows how much of a strong character she is, and
the fact that she is independent, her clothes show that she sees herself equal
to men, and equal to James.
In many bond films, there is free running to start with over
the roof tops of some sort of city, the city that was chosen for this scene was
an old, run down city in the middle east. This helped add to the foreign,
unfamiliar effect that is trying to be achieved.
Strong on Bond: it is essential to make detailed references, as you do. Good grasp of the action female; now position her as being the opposite of a stereotypical passive or weak female figure, and specify exactly in what way she is an action figure.
